6.5.1 

Fitting oil tank

Fitting oil tank for spindle oiler

Applicability

VLE 2130, VLE 2130 F, VLE 2130 EL, 

VLE 2140 EL

Special tools and 

other items

Spindle oil (1 692 871 003)

Fit the oil tank as follows:

1. 

Remove the cover over the inspection opening.

Fig. 10:  Back wall of column

2. 

Move the lifting platform as far as the upper column 
opening so that the lifting carriage comes to a halt 
between the upper roller and the raising bracket.

3. 

De-energise the lifting platform and secure to 
prevent unauthorised use.

4. 

Fill the oil tank with  oil.

5. 

The flat wick should be secured with a safety pin 
roughly 

20–25 mm

 above the oil tank and fitted such 

that it is facing downwards. Check on installation.

6. 

Clamp the oil tank in position on the lifting carriage.

7. 

Repeat this procedure at the other column.

8. 

Check firm fit of oil tanks again.

Grease renders the wick unusable.

9. 

Re-fit the inspection opening covers and connect up 
the lifting platform again.

VLE 2130, VLE 2130 F, VLE 2130 EL, 

VLE 2140 EL

Special tools and

Spindle oil (1 692 871 003)

The oil level must be checked at regular intervals. 
Proceed as follows when doing so:

1. 

After removing the cover for the inspection opening, 
move the lifting carriage upwards until the oil tank is 
visible in the opening.

2. 

De-energise the lifting platform.

3. 

Check the oil level.

4. 

Top up with oil if necessary.
