If you are in doubt about how the connections from the tool to the vehicle should be made, click
on the menu option “Lead Help” in the left sidebar of the screen. As you can see in the above
screen capture, a detailed schematic will appear on the screen giving you good direction on how
to make the connections.
The MTS 5200 has a set of trigger controls that determine the exact instant the trace begins the
sweep across the screen. If a trigger is set at a specific voltage level, and the signal being
sampled achieves that trigger level voltage, then the MTS 5200 displays the signal. When
triggering, a “T” appears in the small box at the left of the trigger settings box at the bottom of
the touch screen display.
