Never leave the trigger
l o c k e d " O N " . B e f o r e
connecting the power source, check that
the trigger lock is "OFF".
Accidental start-
ups could cause injury.
Be aware of the location
and setting of the switch
"Lock-ON" button.
If the switch is locked
" O N " d u r i n g t h e u s e , b e r e a d y f o r
emergency situations to switch it "OFF".
Do not use the switch
" L o c k - O N " f e a t u r e i n
situations where kickback is likely, such as
when working into a corner.
When the
w h e e l b i n d s , t h e t o o l w i l l k i c k - b a c k i n
opposite direction of wheel rotation and the
release of the trigger "Lock-ON" may be
difficult.
Hold the tool with both
hands while starting the
tool, since torque from the motor can
cause the tool to twist.
Start the tool before applying to work and
l e t t h e t o o l c o m e t o f u l l s p e e d b e f o r e
contacting the workpiece. Lift the tool from
the work before releasing the switch. DO
NOT turn the switch “ON” and “OFF” while
the tool is under load; this will greatly
decrease the switch life.
Side On-Off Switch
with Lock

located at the side of the motor
housing (Fig. 5). The switch can be locked
in the “ON” position, a convenience for long
grinding operations.
TO TURN THE TOOL “ON” without locking
it, move the switch forward by applying
pressure ONLY at the REAR portion of the
s w i t c h . W h e n p r e s s u r e i s r e l e a s e d t h e
switch will return to “OFF” position.
TO LOCK THE SWITCH “ON”, move the
s w i t c h f o r w a r d a n d p r e s s t h e F R O N T
portion.
TO UNLOCK THE SWITCH, simply press and
release the REAR portion of the slider.
Switch is spring loaded and will snap back
automatically.
