Working safely with this machine
is possible only when the operat-
ing and safety information is read
completely and the instructions
contained therein are strictly fol-
lowed. Additionally, the general safety instruc-
tions either in the enclosed booklet or those
added in the center of these operating instruc-
tions must be observed. Before using for the
first time, ask for a practical demonstration.
Wear protective glasses and ear
protection.
■
Wear additional protection equipment for your
safety, such as protective gloves, sturdy
shoes, hard hat and apron.
■
Before each use, check the machine and bat-
tery. If damage is detected, do not use the ma-
chine. Have repairs performed only by a qualified
technician. Never open the machine yourself.
■
Use power tools only with specifically des-
ignated battery packs. Use of any other bat-
tery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
■
If used inappropriately, liquid may leak out
of the battery; avoid contact with it. If con-
tact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If
liquid gets into the eyes, also seek medical
help. Liquid that has leaked out of the battery
may irritate or burn the skin.
■
Remove the battery before performing any
work on the machine itself (e. g. mainte-
nance, tool change, etc.) and during its
transport and storage. Failure to do so may
cause an injury when unintentionally activating
the On/Off switch.
■
Make sure the switch is in the off position
before inserting the battery pack. Inserting
the battery pack into power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
■
Before using, make sure the battery fits se-
curely inside the machine.
■
Do not load the machine so heavily that it
comes to a standstill.
■
When working with the machine, always
mount the auxiliary handle.
■
When working with the machine, always hold it
firmly with both hands and make sure you are
in a secure standing position.
■
Always switch the machine off and wait until it
has come to a standstill before placing it down.
■
The protection guard 6 must be mounted when
working with grinding or cutting wheels.
■
Don’t work with materials containing asbestos.
■
Use only grinding tools whose allowable speed is
at least as high as the idling speed of the machine.
■
Check grinding tools before use. The grinding
tool must be properly mounted and turn freely.
Perform a test run for at least 30 seconds with-
out load. Do not use damaged, out-of-round or
vibrating grinding tools.
