A) The working range may be reduced by unfavourable environ-
mental conditions (e.g. direct sunlight).
B) Only non-conductive deposits occur, whereby occasional tem-
porary conductivity caused by condensation is expected.
The serial number
(11)
on the type plate is used to clearly identify
your measuring tool.
Fitting
Inserting/Changing the batteries
It is recommended that you use alkaline manganese batter-
ies to operate the measuring tool.
To open the battery compartment cover
(7)
, pull the locking
mechanism
(8)
and lift the battery compartment cover. In-
sert the batteries.
When doing so, ensure that the polarity is correct and cor-
responds to the diagram on the battery compartment cover.
If the battery warning
(5)
flashes red, the batteries must be
replaced.
Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Only use
batteries from the same manufacturer and which have the
same capacity.
u
Take the batteries out of the measuring tool when you
are not using it for a prolonged period of time.
The bat-
teries can corrode and self-discharge during prolonged
storage.
Working with the rotating platform
(13)
(17)
(16)
(14)
You can use the rotating platform
(16)
to rotate the measur-
ing tool 360° around a central, always visible plumb point.
This enables you to set up the laser lines precisely, without
having to change the position of the measuring tool.
Place the measuring tool with the guide groove
(13)
on the
guide rail
(17)
of the rotating platform
(16)
and slide the
measuring tool as far as it will go onto the platform.
To disconnect the measuring tool, pull it off the rotating plat-
form in the opposite direction.
To adjust the height of the rotating platform, unscrew and re-
move the locking screw
(14)
of one of the telescopic legs.
Lock the telescopic leg by tightening the locking screw. Re-
peat the process for the other two telescopic legs.
