The protocol window for installation of the vehi-
cle target data is displayed.



The installation program compares all the vehicle
target data records contained on the vehicle tar-
get data CD/ DVD or in the download file to the
entries in the licence key.



If these match (= valid licence key), the corre-
sponding vehicle target data record is installed.

The installation protocol provides information on:

$

Wheel alignment unit serial number

$

Type of installation (new installation/update)

$

Start and completion of installation

$

Installation status of each individual vehicle
target data record

Installation status:

If the installation program finds a valid licence key:



The specific vehicle target data record appears
in green after installation together with the com-
ment "(Installation successfully completed)".

¶

If no valid licence key is found for a vehicle target
data record:



This appears in red with the comment "(**In-
stallation not performed, incorrect/no valid li-
cence**)".

On completion of installation, the protocol file is
stored in the directory

C:\Documents and settings\

User\Local settings\Temp

.

Send the protocol file to Service in the event of
error messages.

i

Following completion of installation:

1. Remove the USB data carrier and CD/DVD from the

PC/ Laptop.

2.

Re-start the PC/ Laptop.

This completes Vehicle target data installation.

The Licence key query window appears.

1.

Press the "Yes" button (for first installation or
update).



The file manager opens up.

2.

Select the drive and licence key file (extension: .lic).

3.

Press the "No" button (to perform existing
installation again).



The installation program searches for an existing
file with licence key on the PC/ Laptop and per-
forms installation of the Vehicle target data on
the basis of the specifications of this licence.
