9. Software installation
9.1 Prerequisite
9.1.1 Hardlock

The hardlock must be connected to the PC/ Laptop.
9.1.2 WLAN-Box
!
With FWA 4650 wheel alignment units the
WLAN-Box must be switched on.
9.1.3 Sensors
!
With 3D-12Cam wheel alignment units the sensors
must be connected.
9.1.4 User log-on
1. Switch on the PC/ Laptop.

Depending on the version of the wheel alignment
unit, the operating system starts up with or without
user log-on.

If the operating system presents a log-on window on
starting, log-on with a user account is required.

Administrator rights are an essential prerequisite for
software installation.

If the measurement program is already installed:
 Measurement program starts automatically.

9.1.5 Programs

End programs prior to installation:
1. Close the measurement program.
2. In the task bar, use the right mouse key to select
the program icons for ILSV, Licence, Demo and
Measurement servers as well as IR remote control.
3. End with "Exit" in the menu.

9.1.6 Installation software

The installation software for wheel alignment units
(new installation and update) comprises:

Measurement program software

Vehicle target data software
9.1.7 Installation licence

A hardlock and a software licence are required for
installation.

The software licence is needed for the measurement
program and the vehicle target data. The licence can
be used for:
$
Individual software package
(measurement program and vehicle target data)
$
Combined package
(measurement program and vehicle target data)

Different types of licence are available:
$
Single licence (one wheel alignment unit)
$
Multiple licence (e.g. vehicle manufacturer)
i
In the case of vehicle manufacturer installation, the
multiple licence is usually contained in the measure-
ment program and vehicle target data package.
