Perimeter
Only:
To turn on part of the zones in the system. Your
alarm company determines Perimeter Only zones.
PIN:
A PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a unique
number assigned to each user that identifies him or
her to the system. This number is assigned an
authority level that allows the user to carry out
system functions, such as turning the system on and
off.
Sked:
A scheduling function that allows a selected event to
occur at a specific time, such as turning the system
on or off.
Tamper:
An action that indicates system sabotage, and must
be corrected before the system can be turned on.
Toggle:
To change states; to turn on or off.
Trouble:
A service condition that must be corrected, such as a
broken wire.
Zone:
A detection device or group of devices connected to
your security system. A zone is identified by the area
it monitors, such as a door, window, or hallway.
