Adjusting the direction of
rotation

Clockwise:
Turn the CW/CCW reversal switch

right to tighten bolts with right-hand thread.
Counterclockwise:
Turn the CW/CCW reversal switch

the left to loosen or unscrew bolts with
right-hand thread.

If you change the direction of rotation
during a tightening process, this
change will only take effect in the next
tightening process.

8.3 Nutrunner start
The tightening process is started using the start
switch on the hand-held nutrunner.
Push and hold the start switch until the nut-
runner switches off automatically.
CAUTION
Risk of property damage and personal
injury due to incorrect motor alignment
If the output drive is blocked during first start-
up of the ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner, the
function of the tightening channel may be
compromised and increased heating of the
motor, reduced performance and reversed
spin direction during the next tightening
operation may occur. Additionally, a system
error class 3 (error code 122) is returned. In
current-controlled systems, this may also lead
to incorrect evaluation of results.
Make sure that the output drive can freely
rotate after switching on the tightening
channel, restart of the servo amplifier and
after connection of the ErgoSpin hand-
held nutrunner. Completion of motor
alignment is indicated by brief vibration
(1s) of the ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner.
If nutrunner docking is activated, the
motor is realigned after each docking
operation. Make sure that the output drive
can freely rotate after docking.
Releasing the start switch will abort the tightening
operation. The aborted tightening process is
evaluated by the controller:
