Cleaning the machine
Caution
!
Perform cleaning work only after the engine
has cooled down and with the engine stopped.

Do not guide the water jet directly into the dry
air filter intake opening (Fig. 38) and into the
opening for the cyclone. Cover the electric
equipment against the direct water jet.

Use cold cleansing agent if the engine is soiled
with oil and wash it off with a steam cleaner af-
ter a sufficient soaking time (Fig. 39).

After wet cleaning run the engine warm to
evaporate all water residues and to avoid cor-
rosion.

Check the engine oil level
Caution
!
Park the machine on level ground so that the
engine is in horizontal position.
For quality of oil refer to the "table of fuels and
lubricants".

Shut down the engine.

Pull out the dipstick (Fig. 40) and wipe it clean
with a lint-free, clean cloth.
l
Insert the dipstick into the oil filler socket, do
not screew it in, but pull it out again to check
the oil level.
l
If the oil level is near or below the bottom limit
mark on the dipstick, fill in recommended oil up
to the top dipstick mark (bottom edge of oil fill-
er neck). Do not overfill.
