SOFT HEATING SYSTEM
- Plan for gas inlet pipes (outlet ½” female) on the inside right of the appliance in accordance
with NBN 51/003 or NBN D51/006 regulations.
- Clean the gas flues before connecting the appliance.
- Warm air must be released by the ducts fixed on the top of the fireplace. Heat can be
dissipated by natural draught with a duct of at least 1m in height and a maximum canting
of 0.5m. Any additional horizontal distance must be compensated for by an equivalent
vertical distance. In all other cases, a mechanical extraction system must be installed.
The “Soft Heating system” is a ventilation system, perfected and patented by Bodart&Gonay,
which reduces the temperature of the walls of your chimney, thereby preventing any
deterioration of them through excessive heat. Proper installation of a SHS is not only
necessary for good efficiency, but also for cooling electronic components.
