Die netzbetriebenen Getriebe/Getriebe-
motoren der Kategorie 3G und 2G (Ex-
Atmosphäre Gas) sind drehzahl-, überset-
zungs- und bauformabhängig für die Tem-
peraturklassen T1 bis T4 zugelassen. Die
Temperaturklasse des Getriebes können
Sie dem Typenschild entnehmen. Sologe-
triebe sowie am Umrichter betriebene Ge-
triebemotoren (nur
≥ 4-polig) werden je
nach Applikation nach Rücksprache durch
die Fa. BOCKWOLDT festgelegt.
Die max. Oberflächentemperatur der Ge-
triebe in Kategorie 3D und 2D (Ex-
Atmosphäre Staub) beträgt drehzahl-,
übersetzungs- und bauformabhängig ma-
ximal 125°C oder 140°C. Höhere Oberflä-
chentemperaturen sind nur nach Rück-
sprache mit der Fa. BOCKWOLDT zuge-
lassen und müssen auf dem Typenschild
gekennzeichnet sein. Es ist vom Anlagen-
betreiber zu gewährleisen, dass eine mög-
liche Staubablagerung eine max. Dicke
von 2 - 3 mm nicht überschreitet. Es ist da-
rauf zu achten, dass die Luftgeschwindig-
keit der Lüfter in Staub-Atmosphäre einen
Wert von 20 m/sec nicht überschreitet.
Sonderkonstruktionen (z.B. modifizierte
Abtriebswelle) dürfen nur nach Freigabe
durch die Fa. BOCKWOLDT im Ex-Bereich
eingesetzt werden.
Einfache elektrische Betriebsmittel können
in Anbaugehäusen eingebaut sein; sie dür-
fen in eigensicheren Stromkreisen (Zone 1,
21 und 22) oder in energiebegrenzten
Stromkreisen (Zone 2) eingesetzt werden.
In jedem Fall hat der Hersteller dazu eine
Control Drawing (Nachweis der Eigensi-
cherheit) anzufertigen und der Lieferdoku-
mentation beizufügen.
Anbauteile können höhere Temperaturen
annehmen als das Getriebe selbst. Die Zu-
lässigkeit in Bezug auf die Temperatur-
klasse und die Explosionsgruppe ist vom
Hersteller und/oder Errichter nachzu-
weisen.
Beim Einsatz in der Explosionsgruppe IIC
sind auch vom Betreiber besondere Anfor-
derungen zu erfüllen; u.a. beim Potenzial-
ausgleich und bei der Schichtdicke von zu-
sätzlichen Lackierungen.
Mains operated Gear Boxes and Geared
Motors in Categories 3G and 2G (Gas Ex)
are approved for use in the temperature
classes from T1 to T4 depending on their
speeds, ratios and mounting position. The
temperature class of a Gear Box is marked
on its rating plate. Applications with solo
Gear Boxes or frequency converter con-
trolled motors (
≥ 4-pole only) should be
approved beforehand by BOCKWOLDT.
The maximum permitted surface tempera-
ture for Gear Boxes in Categories 3D and
2D (Dust Ex) depend on speed, ratio and
mounting position but must not exceed
125°C and 140°C for these categories re-
spectively. If you intend operating with high-
er surface temperatures you should obtain
BOCKWOLDT approval beforehand. The
approved surface temperature must be
marked on the rating plate. Plant operators
are responsible for ensuring that dust de-
posits cannot exceed a maximum permitted
thickness of 2 to 3 mm. It has to be provid-
ed, that the air speed of the fans does not
exceed a value of 20 m/sec in dust-hazard.
Special versions (e.g. with modified drive
shafts) should be approved by
BOCKWOLDT before they are used in Ex
zones.
Simple electrical apparatus may be in-
stalled into attaching enclosures; they may
be used in intrinsically safe circuits (Zones
1, 21 and 22) or circuits of limited energy
(Zone 2). In any case the manufacturer has
to create a control drawing (proof of intrin-
sic safety) to be supplied with the delivery
documentation.
Attached parts may reach higher tempera-
tures than the product in question. The
manufacturer and/or the installer of such
parts have to prove their acceptance with
respect to the temperature class and the
explosion group.
Before using in explosion group IIC, the
operator has been fulfilled special require-
ments; i.a. for potential equalization and
the layer thickness of the additional paint-
ing.
