for cracking and inadequate sealing.
Hygiene covers on the seals can also affect
the noise damping capacity.
• The ear protection mounted on this
helmet is available in the sizes large (L),
medium (M) and small (S) in accordance
with EN 352-3. Medium sized earmuffs
M will suit most users. The L and S sizes
are intended for users who cannot use
earmuffs of the M size.
Adjusting the visor
• The gap between the visor (2) and the
face can be adjusted by moving the visor
(see diagram J).
• It is also possible to fold up the visor (2).
USE
EARMUFFS
Fitting
1. Remove any earrings and other items of
jewellery and move the hair away from
the ears so that the sealing rings fit tightly
to the head.
2. Press the cups against the head until their
arms snap the cups over the ears.
3. Centre the cups over the ears and adjust
their height until they completely cover
the ears. The cups should not touch the
shell of the helmet or the visor.
4. Check the fitting by talking in a loud voice.
Your voice should sound hollow, as if
you were talking in a barrel. The sounds
around you should be dampened.
Removing
Pull the cups away from your ears until the cup
arms snap out. Always wear ear protection in
noisy environments.
Parking mode
The ear protection can be parked on the shell
of the helmet. First pull out the cups. Swing the
cups towards the neck of the helmet until they
lock in parked mode.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
Always clean the product after use.
Helmet
• Wipe the helmet with a damp cloth. Do
not use petrol, solvents or detergents that
can damage the plastic.
• Disinfect the helmet with detergent that
does not contain solvent or other strong
substances.
Earmuffs
• Clean all the parts of the earmuffs with a
soft cloth or sponge, moistened with
soapy water.
• Allow the foam plastic inserts to dry
before use.
• The black sealing rings can be removed
and cleaned.
• Some chemicals can have a negative
effect on the product. Additional
information can be obtained from the
manufacturer.
NOTE:
Do not use alcohol or solvent.
Visor
• Clean the visor with a soft cloth moistened
with soapy water, and allow to dry at
room temperature.
• Disinfect the visor with medical alcohol
when the visor has been used by another
person, to reduce the risk of the spread of
contagion.
