GROUNDING
This microwave oven must be connected to ground. In the event of an electrical short-circuit, grounding reduces
the electric shock hazard by providing an escape route for the current. This oven is provided with a power cord
that includes a ground wire and with a grounded power plug. The plug must always be plugged into a
professionally installed, grounded, power outlet.
INSTALLATION
1. Ventilation
Do not obstruct the ventilation openings. If they are blocked during use, the oven may overheat and fail.
To ensure proper ventilation, always leave at least 7.5cm of free space on either side of the oven and behind it, and
at least 10cm of free space above the top of the oven.
2. Positioning on a stable and flat surface
This oven must be installed on a stable and flat surface. This oven is designed exclusively for placing on a flat
surface.
3. Space available behind the oven and on the sides
All of the ventilation openings must be kept completely clear. If they are blocked during use, the oven may overheat
and fail.
4. Distance from radio and television sets
Bad television reception and radio interference may be encountered if the oven is located close to a television set, a
radio antenna, a power line etc. Locate the oven as far away as possible from these devices.
5. Keeping away from heating outlets and water faucets
When choosing a place to locate the oven, install it away from hot air outlets and sources of steam or splashing for
this may affect its insulation and cause failures to occur.
6. Electrical power supply
• Check the mains power characteristics. This oven requires current of approximately 11 amps, at 230V/50Hz.
• The electric power cord is approximately 0.80 meters long.
• The voltage applied must be the same as that specified on the oven. A higher voltage may cause a fire or other
accident leading to damage to the oven. A lower voltage will slow down cooking. We cannot be held liable for
damage caused by using this oven with a power level or fuse with a rating other than that specified.
• If the electric power cord is damaged it must always be replaced by the manufacturer or their after sales service
agent or by someone with similar qualifications to avoid any hazard.
7. Examine the oven after unpacking to detect any damage such as:
A misaligned or broken door or damage to the cavity. If you observe any such damage, DO NOT INSTALL THE
OVEN and inform your retailer immediately.
8. Do not operate the oven if it is below ambient temperature
(This may occur if the oven is delivered during cold weather.) Let the oven warm up to room temperature before
starting it.
WARNING:
Incorrect ground line installation may result in an electric shock hazard. Refer to a qualified electrician or
skilled professional if you do not fully understand the grounding instructions or if you have any doubts
regarding the proper grounding of your microwave oven. If you are obliged to use an electrical extension
cable, choose one with a three-wire cable and three-prong plug and plug it into a grounded power outlet
able to accept the oven's power plug. The nominal capacity of the extension cable should equal or exceed
that of the oven itself.
