The element is designed to fit snugly in the bottom opening of your skimmer body.
With nothing inside the skimmer, place element straight into body and push firmly to
secure into bottom.
Once a week (or anytime that you notice your return flow weakens significantly)
you should remove the element for cleaning. It is recommended that you purchase an
additional element, that way you can rotate two elements and prevent downtime of your
filter system. The element should always be completely dry prior to reinstallation. If the
element is not dry, it will not filter properly.
As stated in the prior section, the element must be cleaned on weekly basis.
To clean your element:
On occasion your element will need to cleaned using chemicals to thoroughly
remove dirt, debris and mineral deposits.
• Remove element from skimmer body
•
Hose off element using a filter cleaner
recommended by your SPARCO dealer
• Pay particular attention to cleaning
the folds of the element (see left)
• Use power nozzle on Spray-A-Way
to get deep inside pleats (see right)
• Place element in sun to dry and insert
additional element (sold separately)
while current element dries

Remove element from skimmer body
• Clean element as you would regularly (see weekly cleaning of element)
• Using a bucket large enough to fit your element, submerge entire element
in solution of recommended filter cleaner and soak overnight.
• Remove element from bucket and rinse thoroughly
• Let element dry completely prior to reinstalling
