Operation
In the Blue Lagoon UV-C Pool Manager, a UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7
nm is generated by the special Philips UV lamp, ensuring a lethal effect on bacteria
(including Legionella bacteria). The Blue Lagoon UV-C Pool Manager will ensure that
your pool water is clean, fresh and clear in an efficient and environmentally-friendly
manner. The water is led through the UV-C device via a pump. The UV-C radiation
neutralises bacteria, viruses and other primitive organisms and stops them from
multiplying. The Blue Lagoon UV-C Pool Manager has a built-in high-frequency
electronic ballast, which absorbs current fluctuations, thereby protecting the lamp.
The Blue Lagoon UV-C Pool Manager has an integrated control panel. With this panel,
you can see when the lamp needs to be replaced. You can also adjust the running hours
of the pool pump, and the dose rate of the dosing pumps in seconds. In addition, the
stainless steel interior ensures the reflection of the UV-C rays, thereby increasing the
efficiency up to 35%. Thanks to the Blue Lagoon UV-C Pool Manager, your swimming
pool water will be disinfected efficiently and safely, and the quality of your water will
remain excellent. Fitted with universal connectors. The device can be connected by
means of a PVC tube.
*The Blue Lagoon 150,000 Amalgam lamp is not affected by temperature fluctuations
in the water and generates a constant, powerful radiation of 50 Watt UV-C output.

• UV lamp protection
- Combined with a flow switch, a switch-on delay to protect the UV lamp against the
switch-on voltage peaks of the swimming pool pump.
Safety
This device produces harmful radiation. Direct contact could impair the eyes
and skin. Only check the operation of the UV-C lamp through the transparent
components of the unit.
- Always plug the device into a socket with a protective cover
- Always comply with the electricity company’s regulations with regard to any
permanent connection to the mains. If there is any doubt regarding the connection,
consult a recognised fitter or the electricity company. Always work with a residual
current-operated circuit-breaker.
- The device must be switched off if water treatment agents or medication are used.
- Always remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any maintenance or
repair work on the unit. Never insert the plug / pull the plug from the socket when
you are standing in water or if your hands are wet.
- Never submerge this device in water.
- Never install the unit in an area subject to full sunlight.
- Keep children away from this device and from the cable.
- The cable of the device cannot be replaced. The complete electrical unit must be
replaced if there is any damage to the power cable. Never remove the plug; leave the
electrical unit intact. An electrical unit with the plug removed will no longer be
covered by the guarantee.
- Once the device has been switched off, the lamp will remain hot for approximately
10 minutes.
- Do not use the device if any of the components are damaged (in particular the quartz
glass).
- Remove the device if there is a risk of freezing during the winter months.
- The stainless steel housing of the device is not suitable for salt water baths with a
high salt content. If the salt content is too high, the steel will oxidise and damage the
housing. Always install the device immediately behind the filter.
- This product can only be used according to the guidelines described in these
instructions for use.
