Entering CD names
You can name up to 99 discs using the DSC
function.
The specified name (e.g. VIVALDI) will then
appear in the display.
Be sure to select the display mode “NAME”
under DSC-CDC DISP.
To start the entry:
•
Press the DSC button.
•
Press / until “CDC NAME” appears
on the display panel.
•
Press
.
The first underscore character will flash.
•
Select the first character with the help
of the rocker switch / .
You have the choice between the capital
letters A to Z, the numbers 0 to 9 and spe-
cial characters.
•
Use the rocker switch << >> to move
to the next underscore and select a
character.
You can select up to seven characters.
Once you have completed the name as de-
sired:
•
Press
in order to store it.
To quit the naming mode,
•
leave the DSC menu by pressing DSC.
If you would like to name another CD,
•
select a new disc.
You can change any existing name by en-
tering and storing a new one (overwriting).
Deleting CD names with DSC-
UPDATE
You can delete the stored name(s) of one
or all CDs using the CDC UPD (update)
function of the DSC menu.
•
Select the disc whose name you wish
to delete.
•
Press the DSC button.
•
Press / to select “CDC UPD”.
•
Press << >> to select CLR DISC,
if you want to delete the name of the
selected disc only, or
•
press << >> to select CLR ALL, if you
want to delete the names of all CDs.
Attention: CLR ALL deletes the
stored names of all discs,
even though they are not
inserted in the magazine.
•
Start the deletion by pressing
.
To quit the function,
•
press DSC.
