Safety precautions – general
It should be only used for removing non-inflammable fluids or dust.
Flammable solvents, fuel, oils, should not be sucked in order to prevent danger of
explosions.
The unit should not be used near flammable gasses or substances.
The BDC-1112 must not be applied for carcinogenic or asbestos substances.
Packing material, like plastic bags, should not be in reach of children’s with regard
of asphyxiation danger
.
The voltage on the identification plate must comply with the power supply.
Do not use the unit when it is damaged.
A fall of the dust collector may also cause an invisible defect.
Do not use damaged extension cables.
Do not pull the power supply cable over sharp edges, fold the cable or clamp it.
When foam or water comes out of the machine, shut it off immediately. Empty the
bin and filters.
Acids, acetone or solvents can damage the machine.
During a standstill of the machine, pull out the plug.
Don’t pull out the power supply cable out by the wire, but by the connector.
Use only original Blastrac parts.
The dust collector must be yearly overhauled by a skilled technician.
Safety precautions – with regard to transport
Remove the dust from the dust collector before it is transported.
Close the inlet of the dust collector with the appropriate plug. The
dust collector may only be lifted and tightened by the housing
frames. The weight and dimensions of the dust collector are shown in
Chapter 1 "Technical data“.
When transporting the dust collector do so in such a manner that damage due to the effects of
the use of force or incorrect loading and unloading is avoided.
When the dust collector is used to vacuum hazardous substances, the dust collector and all
parts of it must be considered as contaminated.
Before the dust collector is removed from the hazardous zone, take precautions to prevent
dust from escaping. Always close the inlet of the dust collector with the appropriate plug
When the dust collector BDC-1112 is used in contaminated zones, it
must be completely decontaminated (not just the outer casing, but
also the air cooling zone, casings, electrical panels and components
etc.), before being
transported.
Alternatively, the dust collector must be carefully closed in a sealed
hermetic bag.
To allow the user to carry out maintenance operations, the dust collector must be
disassembled, cleaned and inspected as far is reasonably possible, without causing
hazards for the maintenance staff or other people.
