7.2.2 Menu “IP input”
This is the menu for the network configuration of the IP input and the configuration of the 62 stream ports. They compile
the 16 desired transponders for transmission.
In the top field the configuration options for the two stream ports are displayed. Stream Port 2 is only available after
enabling the software option (
»chapter 7.2.8
). Enter the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address for each port.
The next step is to configure the setup parameters of the 62 IP input transport streams (IP input channels). These are
listed in the left setting field. Via double-click on a channel it can be edited in the setting field at tthe right. To do so, it's
IP address, port and transport protocol (UDP or RTP ) have to be entered. By pressing the button “
Apply
“ the settings
are assumed.
Press “
Apply +
“ / “
Apply -
“ button and skip to the following / previous channel. To simplify the setting of the 62 channels,
it is possible to increase the port or IP address automatically by a value between 1 and 50, when you switch to the next
channel. For this purpose, the check box in front of “
Auto port
“ or “
Auto IP
“ must be marked and the rate of increase
must be chosen.
Finally, confirm by pressing the “
Send
“ button.
Unused ports are disabled by entering the IP address 0.0.0.0.
Identical settings within these 62 IP channels are not allowed and automatically marked red.
Note:
Some switches apply configuration changes for the multicast group after the set query interval has expired.
Some switches ignore unsolicited IGMP join message. If the querier in the switch is set to a longer interval, the switch
might ignore the emitted IGMP message and thus the srtream is not transmitted instantly after the configuration changed.
Upon expiration of the query interval, the switch checks its membership in multicast groups. The device responds. The
response is accepted by the switch, which then transmits the stream to the device.
