Configure Microsoft Exchange 2000 or 2003 permissions for the Microsoft Windows
account
On the server that you plan to use to host the BlackBerry® Professional Software, configure the Microsoft® Exchange
permissions for the Microsoft® Windows® account that you plan to use to install the BlackBerry Professional Software.
1.
On the taskbar, click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Exchange > System Manager.
2.
Expand Administrative groups.
3.
Right-click First Administrative Group. Click Delegate Control.
4.
In the Exchange Administration Delegation wizard, click Next.
5.
In the Users and groups list, click the Microsoft Windows account. Click Add.
6.
In the Delegate Control window, in the Role drop-down list, click Exchange View Only Administrator.
7.
Complete the instructions on the screen.
8.
In First Administrative Group, expand Servers.
9.
Right-click the name of the messaging server. Click Properties.
10. Click the Microsoft Windows account.
11. On the Security tab, configure the following permissions:
• Send As
• Receive As
• Administer Information Store
Start the MAPI subsystem
