Chapter 5: Configuring the Router

• Click the Backup button to save all configuration settings as a backup file in your local computer.

• To upgrade the router's configuration, follow these instructions.

- Click the Browse button to find the configuration file that you want to restore.

- Click the Restore button to update the configuration with the file whose path is the one you input or selected in the blank.

NOTE: The current configuration will be replaced by the uploading configuration file. The wrong process will leave the device

unmanaged. The restore process lasts for 20 seconds, and the router will restart automatically. Keep the power of the rout-
er on during the upload.

5.21.6 Reboot

Choose “System Tools —> Reboot,” then you can click the Reboot button to reboot the router via the next screen.

Some settings of the router will take effect only after rebooting, and include:

• Change the LAN IP Address (system will reboot automatically).

• Upgrade the firmware of the router (system will reboot automatically).

• Restore the router's settings to factory defaults (system will reboot automatically).

• Update the configuration with the file (system will reboot automatically).

5.21.7 Password

Choose “System Tools —> Password,” then you can change the factory default user name and password of the router in the next
screen.

We strongly recommend that you change the factory default user name and password of the router, because all users who try to
access the router's Web-based utility or Quick Setup will be prompted for the router's default user name and password.
