For a Sun Microsystems compatible computer outputting Sun type video on a 13W3 connector, the Server
Cable you’ll need will be labeled KV2320, KV2325, KV2330, KV2340, KV2360, or KV2380 depending on the
options you ordered (see Table 4-2 at the start of
Section 4.4
). The cable will have these computer-end
connectors:
KV2320, KV2325, and
KV2340, KV2360 and
KV2330 Cables will have:
KV2380 Cables will have:

For a newer Sun compatible computer outputting VGA type video on an HD15 connector, the Server Cable
you’ll need will be labeled KV2420, KV2425, etc., instead of KV2320, KV2325, etc. (see Table 4-2). Rather than a
13W3 male connector as shown above, the cable will have an HD15 male VGA connector as shown in
Section 4.4.1
. (Otherwise, the two types of cable are identical.)
To install your cable and computer at each chosen computer channel, first plug the Server Cable’s HD44
connector into the matching connector on the CPU-Interface Card. When you’re sure the connection is firmly
seated, secure it by tightening the associated thumbscrews.
Now power down the computer and plug the connectors at the end of the Sun style Server Cable’s video-port
and keyboard/mouse-port strands into the appropriate ports on your Sun compatible computer. If the Server
Cable is an audio type, it will have two additional connectors: RCA plugs for a mono audio input and stereo
output. Attach these to any appropriate audio ports or equipment as desired.
