Appendix A: Troubleshooting
The following text describes problem conditions you may encounter with the MediaCento IP and suggested actions to resolve
these problems.
Problem:
Receiver indicates no power.
Action:
Confirm that power is connected to the unit.
Problem:
Receiver indicates no DVI connection.
Action:
Check the DVI cable to monitor connection and the monitor power cord. If the monitor is connected and functioning
properly, cycle the power on the unit.
Problem:
Receiver indicates no LAN connection.
Action:
Indicates that the Receiver is not receiving a valid video stream—although LAN data may be received. Confirm that the
video is not being disabled through Conductor software and that all LAN cables are connected properly.
Problem:
Transmitter or Receiver indicates no Gigabit Ethernet connection.
Action:
An intermediate switch or network appliance has been installed that does not support Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T).
Remove the device or replace it with a Gigabit Ethernet version.
Problem:
The installed transmitter or receiver does not show up in Conductor software, but LEDs indicate a connection.
Action:
Check all network cabling and components to verify connection. Click on “Refresh Network” to detect any recently
installed components. If there is still no connection, push the pink “Reset” button to reset the unit and wait several sec-
onds for the unit to boot.
