Distance Between Cells
—The distance between
the cells varies according to the floor plan of
the building and the nature of the indoor
environment. Five general categories of areas
can be classified:
1.
Open Indoor Areas
—Open office areas with no
partitioning and no obstacles between the Hub
and the Wireless Ethernet workstation.
Suggested maximum distance between Hub
and workstation: 150 m (500 ft.)
With high-gain antennas: 250 m (800 ft.)
2.
Semi-open Indoor Areas
—An open-plan office
divided into cubicles. Factory floor areas,
warehouses, etc.
Suggested maximum distance between Hub
and workstation: 80 m (260 ft.)
