, the ISDN card in the BLACK BOX

Advanced Console Server can be configured to call-

back client machines after receiving dial in calls.

The steps to allow callback are divided into two parts. Part One is the configuration for the
BLACK BOX

Advanced Console Server (BLACK BOX

Advanced Console Server Setup) as

callback server. Part Two is the configuration of a Windows 2000 Professional computer as
callback client.

BLACK BOX ® Advanced Console Server setup (Callback Server)

Step 1: Change the parameters in /etc/pcmcia/isdn.opts to fit your environment.

Step 2: Set the callback number in DIALOUT_REMOTENUMBER:

DIALOUT_REMOTENUMBER="8358662" # Remote phone that you want to

Step 3: If your isdn line supports caller id, it is recommended that you also configure the

DIALIN_REMOTENUMBER and enable secure calls. Otherwise skip to step 4.

# "on" = incoming calls accepted only if remote
