Looking down into the LH8050A unit, notice that there are individual PM connector sockets
for each PM card position. There are 16 slots located on the front of the unit and a bonus slot on
the rear of the unit. A total of seventeen slots for seventeen Ethernet segments are available.
(See Figure 3.9.1b).

Step 2. Remove bottom-front Retaining Screws in any Face Plates
On the bottom-front of the unit there is one retaining screw for each PM card slot.
These screws are used to secure an PM face plate in position. These screws are also used to
secure the individual PM card, which can be subjected to significant forces from the attached
cables. (See Figure 3.9.1b)
