5.11 Selecting Computers Using the On-Screen Menu
You can conveniently select computers by name using the ServSwitch Duo’s/
Quadro’s on-screen menu. For systems with large numbers of computers, this is the
recommended method of computer selection. You can bring up the on-screen
menu by pressing your keyboard’s hotkeys (see
Section 4.7.3 ) and [M] key
together. For example, with the default hotkeys ([Ctrl] and [Alt]), you can launch
the menu by pressing and holding [Ctrl] and [Alt], pressing and releasing [M],
then releasing [Ctrl] and [Alt]. Once the menu is displayed, you can move it
around the screen by using the hotkeys and the arrow keys (see
Section 5.5 ).
You can also launch the menu with a 3-button or wheel mouse if mouse
switching is enabled (see Section 4.7.7 ). To do this, as shown in Figure 5-5, hold
down the central mouse button or “wheel” button (colored black in the
illustration), then click on the left-hand mouse button (colored gray in the
illustration).
