TROUBLESHOOTING
Warning! To avoid serious injury, turn off and unplug
the tool before performing any maintenance.
The tool runs slowly
f
Check that the cassette cover can rotate freely. If
necessary, clean it carefully.
f
Check that the cutting line does not protrude more than
111mm (4-3/8’’) from the cassette. If it does, cut the
excess so that the line is even with the cutting blade.
The automatic line feed is not working
f
Keep the tabs pressed and remove the cassette from
the cover in the cutting head.
f
Pull the cutting line until it protrudes 111mm (4-3/8’’)
from the cassette. If the cutting line left on the spool is
insufficient, install a new cutting line spool.
f
Align the tabs on the cassette with the notches on the
cover.
f
Push the cassette into the cover until it clicks firmly
into place.
f
If the cutting line protrudes beyond the cutting blade,
cut the excess so that it is even with the blade.
If the automatic line feeding still does not work or the spool
is jammed, try the following:
f
Carefully clean the cassette and cover.
f
Remove the spool and check if the lever on the
cassette can move freely.
f
Remove the spool and unwind the cutting line, then wind
it back neatly. Replace the spool within the cassette.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your
BLACK+DECKER product needs replacement, or
if it is of no further use to you, do not dispose of it
with household waste. Make this product available
for separate collection.
Separate collection of used products and
packaging allows materials to be recycled and
used again. Re-use of recycled materials helps
prevent environmental pollution and reduces the
demand for raw materials. Local regulations may
provide for separate collection of electrical
products from the household, at municipal waste
sites or by the retailer when you purchase a new
product.
