Reduced spray or no spray
possible causes
Remedies
1. Spray nozzle clogged
1. Clean spray nozzle using an unfolded paper clip
2. Clean water/solution tank empty
2. Check/fill tank
3. Clean water/solution tank insert clogged
3. Clean insert at bottom of clean water/solution tank
4. Pump needs priming
4. Gently lift clean water/solution tank while depressing
the spray trigger OR gently squeeze clean
tank while depressing spray trigger
Spot cleaner won't pick up cleaning solution
possible causes
Remedies
1. Poor upholstery/carpet tool position
1. Reposition upholstery/carpet tool on surface,
follow recommended cleaning procedures
2. Dirty water tank is full
2. Empty dirty water tank
3. Upholstery/carpet tool brush worn
3. Replace with new brush
4. Excess solution in flex hose
4. Lift tool and point upwards to allow water in hose
to flow into the dirty water tank
5. Incorrect cleaning formula
5. Use BISSELL Compact Machine formulas only
other maintenance or service not included in the manual should be
performed by an authorized service representative.
