4.3. Angular indexing
Perform angular indexing using the scale from 0° to 360°, made on sleeve 2 and scale
mark 28 screwed with screw 29 to clamping ring 6 (refer to Fig. 6).
Position set-up ring 5, so that the scale mark pointing “120°” was opposite “N” mark on
scale mark 28 (as in Fig. 6).
Rotate chuck 46 by means of driving handle 41 at the desired angle increment, using
scale made on sleeve 2. Driving handle 41 should not be put in “A” position because the click
pin 17 will engage the notch in dividing plate 7 (Fig. 14; Fig. 15).
ATTENTION:
Chuck rotates only in one direction. When chuck 46 and sleeve 2 will be rotated at
greater angle than desired, rotate again chuck 46 at 360° (full circle). Indexing should be
performed slowly to assure accurate positioning chuck 46. After each indexing lock spacer
with clamping handle 12.
4.4. Alternative indexing
For alternative indexing you need one of changeable indexing plates with modules:
Z=13; Z=14; Z=15; Z=16; Z=17; Z=18; Z=19; Z=20; Z=21; Z=22 or Z=23. The standard
indexing plate Z=24 should be replaced with one of above. Value calculated from dividing
360° angle into desired number of divisions must be roughly set up on setting ring 5 (Fig. 6).
To replace the interchangeable dividing plate 7 do as follows:
4.4.1. Disassembling the interchangeable dividing plate 7 (Fig. 14; Fig. 15)
a) Unscrew three screws 37,
b) Unscrew three bolts 30 and remove spring washers,
c) Unscrew special bolt 33,
d) Take driving - dividing unit off sleeve 2 by means of three bolts 30,
- Insert bolts 30 into through holes of coupling wheel 3,
- Screw the bolts in tapped holes of interchangeable dividing plate 7 until dismantling
the unit.
e) Unscrew three bolts 38 and remove spring washers 39,
f) Take interchangeable dividing plate 7 off coupling wheel 3.
