4.
Assembly/adjustments
4.1.
Unfolding
•
Position the rollator in the travel direction.
•
Release the locking brakes (see sec. 4.5.).
•
Tip the B+B rollator towards yourself until the load is taken off the
steered wheels and press the handles downwards at the same time
with a gentle jolt.
•
To lock the folding mechanism, now fold the seat plate tight to
your seat (Fig. 3). This locks the rollator.
4.2.
Folding
•
Position the rollator in the travel direction.
•
Activate the locking brakes.
•
Hold the rollator firmly with one hand on the handle (Fig. 4).
•
Now grasp the slot provided in the seat plate and simply pull it
upwards. Ensure that neither body parts nor pieces of clothing
become pinched during the folding process.
4.3.
Attach basket
•
The rollator is unfolded. Activate the locking brakes.
•
Position yourself against the travel direction in front of the rollator.
•
The basket can be hung on the hooks on the left and right of the
rollator (Fig. 5) and sits on the frame.
•
To remove the basket, simply grasp the carrying handle and pull it
up and off.
•
Place the tray onto the seat from above in such a way that the four
plastic pins of the tray fit into the holes of the seat (Fig. 6).
4.4.
Adjusting the push handles
•
The rollator is unfolded. Activate the locking brakes.
•
Turn the plastic screws on the handholds until the handles move
freely (Fig. 7).
•
Position yourself behind the B+B rollator and allow your arms to
hang loosely downwards.
•
Now adjust the push handles so that they are located at the height
of your wrists. Select the nearest hole in the push tube.
•
Retighten the plastic screws after the adjustment procedure.
Observe the minimum insertion depth.
•
Repeat this procedure on the other side.
•
Check to make sure that both the push handles are at the same
height.
4.5.
Adjusting / activating the brakes
Service brake
To activate the service brake, pull both handbrake levers upward on
the push handles upward (Fig. 8). Service and locking brake act on the
fixed wheels.
Locking brake
•
Press down on both brake levers to activate the locking device
(Fig. 9).
•
To release the locking brake pull both brake levers back into middle
position.
