Testing Procedure

Use your fingertips to operate the touch screen. Do not use pens or other objects that may
scratch or damage the screen.
•
The tray opens and closes automatically. Do not try to open or close the tray manually.
•
The tray protects the instrument from dust, dirt, light and humidity. Empty the tray when
the instrument is not in use.
•
If an Information Code appears on the screen after the analysis, please consult the Info
Codes and Troubleshooting section, pages 30

33.
•
Do not move the instrument when a test is being processed.
•
Do not use disc after the expiry date, or if the discs are not stored in accordance with the
recommendations.
•
Do not use the disc if the foil pouch, or the disc itself is damaged.
•
The disc must reach recommended operating temperature (15
-
30°C) before use.
•
Do not open the foil pouch until just before use. Once opened, the disc has limited stability
(disc must be used within 10 minutes).
•
Handle and dispose the disc and sample as potential biohazardous materials. Use gloves.
•

use the disc or the strip.
Preparing for sample analysis
•
Allow the spinit® discs to reach the recommended operating temperature (if applicable) in
the pouch before use (approximately 5 minutes).
•
Turn your spinit® instrument on and allow it to stabilize.
•
Enter the operator ID (optional). See procedure on page 15.
Consult the Instructions for Use that comes with each spinit® test for assay specific infor-
mation.
