Table 1 details some commonly used plant species and optimal lysis buffer successfully
verified with the ISOLATE II Plant DNA Kit. The table should only be consulted as a rough
guide. When testing a batch of material from a specific plant species for the first time,
empirical testing of both buffers side‑by‑side is recommended in order to determine optimal
lysis conditions.
Important note: For a large number of diverse plant species, either lysis buffer generates excellent results.
