Cleaning the GuardDog
Regular cleaning can help prevent authentication failures. The fingerprint sensor, in particular,
should be regularly cleaned because dirt, dust, and other grime on the sensor can interfere with
fingerprint imaging.
External Surfaces
Use a damp cloth to remove loose dirt and dust from the external surfaces of the GuardDog.
iButton Contacts
Use a cotton swab and
isopropyl
alcohol to clean the card slot or iButton contacts.
Fingerprint Sensor
Use a cotton wipe and
isopropyl
alcohol to clean the fingerprint sensor.
