6.1 Basic Step
1. Plug the heater base power cable into an AC supply of the voltage and maximum
power rating as specified on the side label.
2. Switch on the ventilator or gas supply. Carry out flow and pressure testing applicable
to the system in use.
3. Use the temperature probe or monitor to check temperature on the patient side.
4. Press + / - button to adjustable the setting temperature. It will take 20 minutes to heat
equivalence.
5. LED display indicator flash whenever the heater plate is on.
6.If the gas flow is stopped or interrupted, the humidifier should be turned off.
Caution
●
Do not touch the heater plate - the temperature on the surface may exceed 73
℃。
●
Always make sure that gas flows through the humidifier before connecting circuit
to patient.
●
A possible explosion hazard may exists if use in the presence of flammable anesthetics.
●
Switch the humidifier off if gas flow is stopped or interrupted.
●
Use BioCARE or other compatible chamber. Ensure that the water level in the chamber
is periodically monitored.
●
Make sure that gas delivers to the patient is continuously monitored and checked
periodically.
●
Electric shock hazard - do not remove cover. In case of failure, refer to BioCARE's qualified
service technician.
●
This device may not be able to function appropriately, or provide sufficient humidity,
when exposed to electrical and/or magnetic contact or field phenomena.
