Chapter 7 Creating Experiments and Workspaces

Creating Histograms

The histogram builder displays the parameters that were activated in the Experiment Builder

Fluorophores screen.

To create a histogram

Click Create Histogram in the toolbar.

Locate a parameter to assign to the x-axis. Parameters are listed under each laser.

Set the y-axis scaling:

For linear scale — if the Log button is blue, click it so that it is no longer blue.

For log scale — if the Log button is blue, leave it selected; if the Log button is not blue, click it.

For hyperlog scale — leave Log selected and click HyperLog so that both the Log and

HyperLog buttons are blue.

Specify whether to display compensated data for the parameter.

Select the pulse measurement (height, area, or width) for the parameter.

The histogram is added to the workspace.

Click the X or click outside the histogram creation dialog box to close it.
