6.2 Type of process
6.2.1 PLU
During this type of process, the required plu is selected from a list in the
stand-slone mode.
6.2.2 Remote mode
During this type of process, the plu is selected in the stand-alone mode
after which a network command is transmitted to a remote host
connected to the Mercury Plus which will then command the previously
selected plu's entry into the process.
6.3 Type of operation
6.3.1 Single product
Only one homogeneous product is processed in this operating mode. A
plu must therefore be called up from the list and processed until the
processing limits have been reached. If the type of product must be
changed, quit the current process without necessarily closing it, and call
up another plu to process.
6.3.2 Crate weigher/Multiproduct
During this type of operation, several plu are processed without the user
having to quit and return to the process. To implement this type of
operation, stores must be created with different means, such as a
stand-alone keyboard, scanner, network command.
