An incorrectly distributed load can affect the steering and manoeuvrability of the
entire rig.
When braking
If the trailer is equipped with brakes, these should be connected to the tractor with a brake valve. The
trailer's brakes are then operated directly by the tractor's brake pedal.
If the trailer is connected to a tractor without a brake valve, the pressure in the trailer's braking system
must not exceed 160 bar. The braking system could be damaged at higher pressure. If the pressure
exceeds 160 bar, the trailer can be fitted with a pressure relief valve.
