Do not check oil level
with the motorcycle on
the side stand. The motorcycle must be in the
upright position. An incorrect oil level may cause engine
damage.

To ensure the best quality
and reliability, use only
new, genuine Big Dog Motorcycle parts or their
factory recommended equivalents for repair and
replacement.
ENGINE OIL FILTER:
The oil filter is located at the
base in the front of the engine (see illustration below). The
oil filter should be replaced every time the oil is changed.
Use only factory recommended filters.
CHANGING ENGINE OIL:
Oil must be changed after
the first 500 miles and thereafter at 2500-mile intervals in
normal service conditions. Oil change intervals should be
shorter in cold weather (see winter lubrication).

20W50 V-TWIN OIL.
Be sure no oil gets on the
tires when changing the oil
and filter, as traction will be adversely affected.
The oil tank should be drained only after the engine has
