IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock or injury to person, do not place or
immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when the percolator is in use or when coffee is
hot. Do not allow children to use coffee maker or use near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the percolator.
6. Do not operate this percolator when the power cord or plug damaged or if the
appliance malfunctions, is dropped or has been damaged in any manner.
Return it to the Authorized Service Station for examination, repair, electric or
mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to person.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table and counter, or touch hot surface.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
12. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
13. DO NOT REMOVE LID DURING BREWING CYCLES. Scalding may occur if lid is
removed during the brewing cycles.
14. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not place any electric or gas
heating appliance beneath the percolator.
15. To reduce the risk of fire, do not mount unit over or near any portion of a heating
or cooking appliance.
16. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not mount over a sink.
17. To reduce the risk of fire, do not store anything directly on top of the coffee
maker surface when the coffee maker is in operation.
18. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
19. Do not move the percolator while in heating. Unplug the power cord before you
move the appliance to pour out coffee.
20. Do not use the percolator without Coffee filter, Filter cover and Water pipe.
THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT A WATER BOILER.
21. Never plug on the percolator without water inside its pot, or the appliance will
cutoff automatically. Element inside may burn out.
22. Do not add water beyond the max. cups level.
23. a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be
provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord
or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating
of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be
a grounding type3-wire cord; and
