• Do not open or close the battery/card cover and USB/AV port cover while the 

camera is in water.

• Do not use in hot springs or heated pools.
• Do not dive into water with the camera to avoid possible damage to camera due to 

excessive force or vibration.

• Do not place the camera on the sands for a long time to avoid possible high 

temperature damage and sand could get into the speaker or microphone.

• Sun lotion or other oily substances may discolor the camera body. If this happens, 

clean the camera body immediately with a damp cloth.

After use
• Remove any foreign objects on the camera (in particular the water-resistant seals 

and their adjacent surfaces).

• Do not use liquid soaps, detergents, alcohol, and other similar cleaners to avoid 

possible damage to the camera’s water resistance ability.

• After using the camera in water or any foreign objects have entered the camera, 

clean the camera by rinsing it under tap water or soak it in fresh water. Next, 
remove water and foreign objects with a dry cloth. Finally, dry the camera 
thoroughly.

It is recommended to replace (at your own expense) the water-resistant seals 
and other related parts once every year or whenever any of these parts is 
damaged.
