Setting up timer recording

VPS/PDC
’ and then press the
OK
button to
enable or disable the VPS/PDC function.
Tip
VPS (video programming system) and PDC (program delivery control) are used to control the start and
end time of a recording. Usually the start time is the same as that of the VPS or PDC time. But if the VPS
or PDC time is different from the recording’s start time, e.g. '20:15 (VPS/PDC 20:14)', you must enter
the VPS/PDC time '20:14' exact to the minute as the start time.
If you wish to program a time that is different from the VPS or PDC time, you must disable the VPS/
PDC function. Only one recording on a TV channel can be controlled using VPS/PDC' at a time. If you
wish to record two or more TV programs on a TV channel using VPS/PDC, you will need o program
these as two separate recordings.
7. Check all information. Press the
Down
button to select ’
Confirm Programming
’ and
press the
OK
button.
8. Press the
Timer recording
button to close the Timer recording menu.
9. Load an appropriate recordable (non write-protected) DVD into the DVD Recorder.
Note:
The timer function will only become active while the DVD Recorder is in standby mode.

3. Press the

button, or
the numbered buttons on the remote control to
change settings (’

’). To move to the previous or next setting
item, press the
Left

Right
button.
4. Press the
Right
button to select ’
Record Mode
’
and then press the
OK
button. Use the
Up
or
Down
button to select a record
mode and then press the
OK
button.
5. Press the
Down
button to select ’
Repeat
’
and then press the
OK
button. Use the
Up
or
Down
button to select a repeat
mode and then press the
OK
button.
Note:
When ’Repeat Mode’ is set to ’Mo-Fr’, make sure that
the date in step 3 is set to a weekday.
