4.3 Replacing the radiant heater
Electric shock!
Contact with energized components pre-
sents a danger to life from electric shock.
Before replacing the radiant heater,
disconnect the device from the mains and
secure it against unintentional start-up.
• Switch off the device.
• Pull out the mains plug.
The heater protective grids are kept in position by
means of locking pins inserted in the corresponding
bore holes and fastened through internal tension.
To dismount the protective grid of the main heater:
1. Protect the surface paint by applying adhesive
tape to each contact point of the screwdriver
3
.
2. Place the screwdriver directly at the bore holes
2
and then carefully lift the locking pins
4
of the
heater protective grid
1
from the bore holes.
3. Remove the locking pins of the heater protective
grid from the upper bore holes and then raise the
heater protective grid.
To dismount the heater protective grid of the side
arm:
1. Protect the surface paint by applying adhesive
tape to the contact points of the screwdriver
8
.
2. Place the screwdriver at the opening between the
heater protective grid
6
and the reflector. Move
the heater protective grid by approx. 1 cm
towards the bearing of the side arm so as to
ensure that the locking pins
7
are exposed.
3. Also withdraw the locking pins of the heater
protective grid on the opposite side from the bore
holes and then raise the grid.
