Troubleshooting
Problem
The V928i beeps briefly at the same
location every day, but no radar
source is in sight.
The V928i does not seem sensitive
to radar or laser.
The V928i did not alert when a
police car was in view.
The V928i did not provide a Safety
signal while within range of an
emergency vehicle.
The V928i’s display is not working.
The V928i’s audible alerts are less
loud after the first few alerts.
The V928i bounces or sags on
windshield.
The V928i’s power-on sequence
reoccurs while you are driving.
Solution
• An X or K-band motion sensor or intrusion alarm is
located within range of your route. With time, you will learn
predictable patterns of these signals.
• Make sure that windshield wipers do not block your V928i’s
radar antenna and that the laser lens is not behind tinted
areas.
• Determine if your vehicle has an Instaclear®, ElectriClear®
or solar reflective windshield which may deflect radar or laser
signals.
• Your V928i may be in City Mode.
• VASCAR (Visual Average Speed Computer and Recorder) a
stopwatch method of speed detection, may be in use.
• Officer may not have radar or laser unit turned on.
• Safety transmitters may not be commonly used in your area.
• Press the BRT button to deactivate Dark Mode.
• The V928i is in AutoMute Mode. See page 8 for details.
• The V928i is not making contact with the windshield
to provide stability. While holding down the V928i’s
QuickMount button, slide the V928i toward the windshield so
that the back top edge makes firm contact.
• A loose power connection or dirty lighter socket can cause
the V928i to be briefly disconnected.

Your 14-year old son has changed
