Getting To Know Your Cake Pop Maker

Product may vary slightly from illustration

Introduction to Baking Cake Pops

Cake pops… these quick and delicious round balls of cake are baked easily and quickly and then individually
decorated for your friends, family, and co-workers. Great to serve at parties. Create exquisite centerpieces for
any occasion… birthday party, baby shower, sweet sixteen. Kids (and adults) will love to eat these small bites
of sweet goodness on a stick.
Using colored candy chips and other decorations, create a base for your creations. Match your party’s color
theme. Try orange for lady bugs, yellow smiley faces, many colors for long winding caterpillars, aliens, green
bugs, yellow tennis balls or white soccer balls, etc. Then draw with frosting or pipe melted candy from a bag
or tip. Your family or any social group will enjoy hours of fun and creative decorating with professional-looking
and tasting results! Please consult the Recipe section of this instruction manual for complete instructions.

Before Using for the First Time

1.  Carefully unpack the Cake Pop Maker and remove all packaging and materials.
2.  Before using your Cake Pop Maker for the first time, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth to

remove all dust, and then dry.

3.  Wipe outer surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth or sponge.

CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from running into the appliance.
NEVER IMMERSE the Cake Pop Maker BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!

4.  Set the appliance on a dry, clean and flat surface.

Keep the Cake Pop Maker closed until needed.

Operating Instructions

1.  Plug closed the Cake Pop Maker unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet to preheat. The orange POWER ON

light will illuminate.

NOTE:

When the Cake Pop Maker is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This

is normal and should disappear after 1 or 2 uses. This does not affect the safety of the appliance.
However, as it may affect the flavor of the first cake pops prepared in the Cake Pop Maker, it is
recommended that these be discarded.

2.  While preheating, prepare cake batter.
3.  When the green READY light illuminates, (allow 2 minutes) the Cake Pop Maker is preheated and is

ready for use.

General Cake Pops Baking Procedures

1.  Generously brush both the lower and upper cooking plates with vegetable oil to assist in the removal of

the cake pops after baking. Depending on the recipe, some cake pops may be more difficult to remove
and may require a heavier application.

2.  Use 2 teaspoons to add batter to the Cake Pop Maker (one to add, the other to push batter into Maker).

Add 1 heaping teaspoon of batter to each of the 12 cake pop molds. (See Figure 2.)

NOTE:

 All 12 cake pops

molds do not need to be
filled when using the Cake
Pop Maker.

IMPORTANT:

 Do not

overfill cake pop molds.
Cake pops will expand
when baked. Results may
vary by recipe.

After batter has been
added, use the lid handle
to lower the top lid. The lid
latch will lock into position.
Bake for 5 to 6 minutes.

NOTE:

 The green READY

light will cycle on and off as the unit maintains baking temperatures.

NOTE:

As cake pops bake, steam will be emitted from the Cake Pop Maker. This is normal.

3.  After 5 to 6 minutes, wearing a protective oven mitt or potholder, press the lid latch in the lid handle,

and lift the top lid to the open position. Allow to cook (opened) for 1 additional minute.

NOTE:

When the upper cooking plate is lifted, if any cake/hole splits, then add more oil to the molds on

future batches. If needed, add 15 to 30 seconds additional cooking time. If cakes/holes are still splitting,
add milk or cream to thin the batter and retry at a longer bake time.

NOTE:

Cooking times may vary slightly based on the temperature of the Cake Pop Maker and cake

batter recipe.

4.  If necessary, lower the lid and continue cooking for 15 seconds at a time until cake pops are browned to

your liking.

5.  Use a heat-proof plastic or wooden spatula to remove bite-size cake pops.

NOTE:

If additional cake pops are to be baked, wearing a protective oven mitt, wipe the cooking plates

clean with a dry cloth or paper towel. Keep the Cake Pop Maker closed to retain heat. Always wait until
the green READY light illuminates before baking more cake pops.

6.  Oil both the lower and upper cooking plates with a generous coat of vegetable oil, add batter and bake

following the instructions previously described.
