How to Remove and Replace an Annunciator Module 

Note: No shutdown is required prior to installing/replacing the Annunciator Module.

Remove any external connections (alarm).

Turn  the  module

’s  two  thumbscrews  counterclockwise  until  they 

disengage from the chassis. Pull the module straight out using the handle. 

Do  not  pull  on  the  thumbscrews  when  removing  the  module 

– 

damage may occur! Use the handle!

Before installing a replacement Annunciator Module, 

ensure that the 

DIP  Switch  settings  on  the  new module  match  the  settings  on the 
module being replaced

 or are set for desired new settings. 

Note: Ensure the DIP Switch settings on the replacement Annunciator Module match the settings 
on the removed Annunciator Module

Grasp the replacement  module by the handle and place it into the  guide slots horizontally so that the 

DIP  Switch  is  on  the  left.  The  module  should  slide  freely  until  it  reaches  the  backplane  connector.  At 
this point, use just enough force to firmly engage the module with the mating connector.

 

If the module does 

not slide easily into the connector, do not force it! Damage may occur. Remove the module, realign it, 
and start over.

 Hand-tighten the thumbscrews. 

Do not tighten the thumbscrews with a screwdriver.

Reinstall external connections.
