System Reboot or Power Off at the Chassis
From the
Chassis’ LCD Main Menu, press
the
down arrow
4 times
to get to
Reboot/Power Off.
From the
Reboot/Power Off
menu, press the
arrow
once
to
choose
Reboot
or twice to
Poweroff.
Press
to
Cancel
.
Press
enter
to
execute either choice
.
You will be given another chance to either
Enter
or
Cancel
your choice. If no selection is made within
~30 seconds, the display will revert to the Main Menu.
For
Poweroff
, press
Enter.
The shut-down process will begin (displayed). When
OK to power off
is
displayed,
remove the AC power cord
from the chassis. The system is now fully powered down.
Note: When rebooting via the LCD, Console Port, or an SSH connection, the chassis
power on the TLX12 will NOT be turned off and existing switch connections will remain. To
clear the switch connections, use the
pwroff
command line or the LCD menu.
System Shut-Down at the Command Line
The following commands allow a safe shut-down of the system:
Note: During normal operation, the Controller can be managed via the Console Port or an
SSH connection.
The PWROFF Command

Typing
pwroff
at the command line prompt will halt the Controller
but will NOT turn off the
power to the entire base board, including the SFPs.

O
nce the Controller is inactive, the display will indicate “
OK to power off
” and the system must
then be fully powered down
by unplugging the Matrix Switch’s AC power cord.
Note: Chassis power on the TLX12 cannot be turned off via the LCD, Console Port, or an
SSH connection. To clear the switch connections, the AC power cord must be removed, as
described above.
