Initial Startup Procedures
Bayonet Nozzles
1) Working with a local chemical supplier set the chemical to water ratio in the delivery system
to the desired setting.
2) Close the Sudzameleon® air plenum vent which is located on the end of the driver side
plenum assembly.
3) Using the controller force on the function(s) for the fan, lights and chemical delivery.
4) Turn the air regulator up that feeds the MixStir® pump to 80psi and inspect the entire
machine for bubbles. The bubbles should be coming out of all the nozzle tips at about the
same consistency. If one or more of the tips are not passing fluid, turn off the functions to
inspect and clean the spray nozzles. Make sure that there are no water leaks at any of the
hose connections or nozzles.
5) After inspecting the Sudzameleon® and confirming there are no leaks and that bubbles are
coming out of all of the nozzle tips you can adjust, in any order, the following:
The ratio of the chemical/water mixture. Try to find the best combination of settings that
will produce the desired bubble but uses the least amount of chemical. This can be
done by changing out the tips that are supplied with the HydroMinder on the MixStir®.
During the installation of the Sudzameleon® nozzles the 3D mesh media bubble disks
were installed. The media disks can be switched to the coarse media bubble disks if a
different style bubble is desired.
This Startup Procedure began with the Air Plenum Vent closed this will allow all of the
air from the fan to pass thru the nozzle outlets. The vent can be opened at this time to
achieve the desired amount and consistency of bubbles.
The speed of the fan was wired to high capacity. If you need to change the speed to
low capacity you must re-wire the fan, be sure to turn off all power to the bay before
rewiring.
6) After all of the settings have been adjusted run a few test washes on various vehicles to
confirm that the desired bubble consistency and volume has been obtained.
