6 Maintenance and cleaning
Clean i ng your fr i dge at regular i ntervals
w i ll extend the serv i ce l i fe of the pro-
duct.

WARNING:
Unplug the product before clean i ng i t.
•
Never use gasol i ne, benzene or
s i m i lar substances for clean i ng
purposes.
•
Never use any sharp and abras i ve
tools, soap, household cleaners,
detergent and wax pol i sh for
clean i ng.
•
For non-No Frost products,
water drops and frost i ng up to a
f i ngerbreadth occur on the rear wall
of the Fr i dge compartment. Do not
clean i t; never apply o i l or s i m i lar
agents on i t.
•
Only use sl i ghtly damp m i crof i ber
cloths to clean the outer surface of
the product. Sponges and other types
of clean i ng cloths may scratch the
surface
•
D i ssolve one teaspoon of b i -
carbonate i n half l i tre of water. Soak
a cloth w i th the solut i on and wrung
i t thoroughly. W i pe the i nter i or of the
refr i gerator w i th th i s cloth and the
dry thoroughly.
•
Make sure that no water enters the
lamp hous i ng and other electr i cal
i tems.
•
If you w i ll not use the refr i gerator
for a long per i od of t i me, unplug i t,
remove all food i ns i de, clean i t and
leave the door ajar.
•
Check regularly that the door gaskets
are clean. If not, clean them.
•
To remove door and body shelves,
remove all of i ts contents.
•
Remove the door shelves by pull i ng
them up. After clean i ng, sl i de them
from top to bottom to i nstall.
•
Never use clean i ng agents or water
that conta i n chlor i ne to clean the
outer surfaces and chrom i um coated
parts of the product. Chlor i ne causes
corros i on on such metal surfaces.
6.1 Avo i d i ng bad odours
•
Mater i als that may cause odour
are not used i n the product i on of
our refr i gerators. However, due
to i nappropr i ate food preserv i ng
cond i t i ons and not clean i ng the i nner
surface of the refr i gerator as requ i red
can br i ng forth the problem of odour.
Pay attent i on to follow i ng to avo i d
th i s problem:
•
Keep i ng the refr i gerator clean i s
i mportant. Food res i duals, sta i ns, etc.
can cause odour. Therefore, clean
the refr i gerator w i th b i -carbonate
d i ssolved i n water every few months.
Never use detergents or soap.
•
Keep the food i n closed conta i ners.
M i croorgan i sms spread i ng out from
uncovered conta i ners can cause
unpleasant odours.
•
Never keep the food that have passed
best before dates and spo i led i n the
refr i gerator.
6.2 Protect i ng the plas-
t i c surfaces
Do not put l i qu i d o i ls or o i l-cooked meals
i n your refr i gerator i n unsealed conta i -
ners as they damage the plast i c surfaces
of the refr i gerator. If o i l i s sp i lled or sme-
ared onto the plast i c surfaces, clean and
r i nse the relevant part of the surface at
once w i th warm water.
