Exchange of pump element
9.5.1
Exchange pump element at central lubrication pump FKGGM EP and FKGGM-EPR
Unscrew the pump element with pressure limiting valve (fig. 74) but do not pull it out yet (fig. 75). Then tilt up the
pump element with pressure limiting valve (piston head) and take it out the housing in this position (fig. 76).
The delivery piston must not remain in the pump housing.
Unscrew the defective pump element from the socket. Fasten the new pump element and tighten it with the
according torque (see fig. 73).

When installing the pump element with pressure limiting valve, pull out the delivery piston partly. Then insert the
pump element with pressure limiting valve from a sloping upward position into the housing until the piston head
touches the thrust ring (fig. 76). Put the element in horizontal position (fig. 68). The piston head must be in the
groove of the guide ring (fig. 74). Tighten the pump element with the according torque (fig. 73).
Pump element or pump are going to be damaged if the element was not properly installed.
